LOCATION

This magnificent property is situated about a five minute drive from Miranda do Corvo, it is on the edge of a quiet and peaceful hamlet, standing well back from the road behind a wall, with entrance via electronic double gates.

DESCRIPTION

Each floor of this house is in excess of 200 square metres, the quality of the whole house is outstanding, the very best of materials have been used throughout.

From the front, the house appears to be on two levels, but walk around the back and there you will find, up and over doors that take you into the largest, completely tiled floored garage and workshop we have ever seen, there are six classic car and three motor bikes in the garage (not included!!) they did not even cover a third of the space. GROUND FLOOR

Three quarters of the area on this floor is open plan in design, the utility room (at the back of the house) is separated from the kitchen by a door, the kitchen has a wall to one side, thus slightly separating it from the lounge and dining areas.

The floors throughout the kitchen, dining area and lounge area are made of very pale pink and grey marble, giving a look of extreme elegance and style.

The floors throughout the rest of the property are all solid hardwood, with the exception of the bathrooms and cloakrooms. These rooms are all tiled in a dark blue and white checkered pattern, all sanitary ware is white.

The kitchen has an enormous range of built in, almost shaker style, pale cream, floor and wall units, appliances include ceramic hob, separate built in grill, electric oven, dishwasher and overhead glass and stainless steel extractor hood. All worktops are black marble, there is a breakfast bar to one end of the kitchen worktop.

The huge lounge and dining areas stretch across three quarters of the front and back of the house, a total of four sets of French windows, three to the front and one to the side, all open out onto the covered veranda that runs across the front and to one side of the property. All external windows and doors are double glazed. On the inside of every French window, huge solid hardwood shutters ensure complete privacy. Either side of each set of shutters, half glass panelled display cupboards have been built into the walls, the cupboards are built of solid hardwood and match the shutters.

A huge fireplace with a built in wood burning stove is situated in one corner of the room, in addition there is full central heating provided throughout the property.

An elegant marble stepped and wrought iron hand railed, large curved staircase rises to the first floor towards the rear of the lounge, beneath the stairs is a built in water feature. Beautiful handmade wrought iron chandeliers which were especially commissioned and designed for this room and the galleried landing above, are included.

At the far end of the room, solid hardwood doors take you into a hallway, off the hall is a cloakroom with washbasin, WC and bidet.

In the same hall is the Master bedroom, there are French doors leading onto the veranda, either side of the doors there are large built in wardrobes. The bedroom has the benefit of a large en-suite bathroom.

FIRST FLOOR

At the top of the curved staircase is a huge galleried landing.

There are a total of four large and elegant double bedrooms, all with built in wardrobes either side of the French windows in each room, each set of French windows leads out onto an individual balcony.

Two of the bedrooms can only be described as further master bedrooms, as both are equipped with en-suite bathrooms. One of the en-suites has an original roll top Victorian bath, and a washbasin made from an old washstand, this bathroom is absolutely beautiful.
The second master bedroom has its own large private terrace which overlooks the woods below.

As you may have gathered I am absolutely in love with this property, anyone got a spare 350000 Euros!!!!

EXTERIOR

Large front garden, laid to lawn with its own sprinkler system, the Portuguese cobbled drive leads down and around to the back of the house it is situated on the right of the house.

Large side garden to the left, again laid to lawn, towards the rear are two large dog kennels, at the back of the property the whole area is cobbled.
A set of stairs leading up to a large sun terrace with double doors into the lounge and a further set of doors that take you into the utility room and kitchen beyond.
