The beautiful scenery, clean air, open spaces, warm climate, culture, history and people, first attracted us to settle in this area of Central Portugal, an area still largely undiscovered by people seeking a new and relaxed life style. We left the UK to seek an alternative way of living, wanting to escape the high cost of “existing” rather than living life to the full. Our change of location to Central Portugal means we have the time to enjoy quality time together, relax at a café to enjoy a drink in the open air, go out for a leisurely lunch or dinner, and importantly, integrate with the our hosts, the Portuguese people, who are kind, open hearted and genuinely welcoming.
